Quotica

Quotica was my first passion project and my entry into the world of product design. Before Quotica I studied business and worked in several marketing jobs. Quotica is when I decided to switch careers and follow my passion of tech and design.

The premise of Quotica was to collect and share quotations for personal and social benefits. Users could post individual quotes, or find inspiration from the community.

What made Quotica fun was that you could choose a background image for your quotation.

I designed 9 different background templates, including a fortune-cookie style paper, an ancient scroll, a post-it-note, and more.

Each user had a profile where all of their favourite quotes were displayed.

In an effort to drive engagement, I also designed a “Quote of the Day” email blast, where we randomly selected a popular quote to be featured.
